About my Portfolio

Hi! I’m Reece Gerber and I have been attending Surrey Christian School through elementary and high school. I am graduating this year and as I reflect on these past years of education I am grateful for many positive and amazing learning experiences. When I began high school in Grade 8 I chose to take Woodworking as my elective. I didn’t realize then what a profound influence these courses would have on my life.

Woodworking was always the course I looked forward to the most and I learned so many skills. I’m realizing that many of these skills and things I learned can be transferred to other areas of my life. Please enjoy looking through my portfolio where I will highlight some of my projects and delve deeper into the significance of these courses to me.

Here you will see evidence of some of my joinery projects. These were enjoyable to create as I loved giving them as gifts to others. Both sets of my grandparents enjoyed receiving them and I know it brought them joy at a difficult time during Covid isolation.
