Woodworking Projects

Here you will see evidence of some of my joinery projects.  These were enjoyable to create as I loved giving them as gifts to others.  Both sets of my grandparents enjoyed receiving them and I know it brought them joy at a difficult time during Covid isolation.

Patio Table with Tile Top

I planned and created two tile top patio tables as a gift for my parents. I purchased two tiles with the idea of using them as a flat surface for the top of my tables. I proceeded to use wood and materials around the shop to build them, and I'm very happy with the final result.

Charcuterie Board

As a gift for a friend's family, I designed and created a custom charcuterie board made from multiple types of hard wood. Using the shop's CNC router, I programmed the machine to carve their last name into the board, making it completely custom and a great gift for their family.

Construction

This past term I was given an opportunity to work at a construction site, first doing demolition and then doing some basic construction.  It gave me a real appreciation for the industry and how hard they work.  I will be continuing my experience this summer in this industry and look forward to what I will learn.
